How do you keep an area rug from shedding?
I have a new rug, 6 months old at this point, that constantly sheds. There’s ‘rug dust’ all over the house. It sticks to my daughters feet and even ends up in her diapers. Does anyone have suggestions on how to minimize this problem. We love the rug and do not want to get rid of it.
Most rugs shed, but they do get significantly better over time. You just have to stick with it. Vacuum it regularly to tease out the bits of fluff that are ready to go.
I myself got a new rug on Saturday, but it sounds like the next 6-12 months will be hell…!
