Anyone buy a silk rug in Beijing China?

We are looking at silk rugs in Beijing. They appear to be silk… but we were unsure how to tell or if they usually are? Did anyone buy one and confirm its real silk? (They say they are handmade but are too perfect – we assume machine made)…but not sure if they are real silk? Is there a place someone would recommend buying one (we were looking at pearl market)? How can you tell if it is real silk? What is the “scam” if there is one that we should look out for? Any help would be GREAT!!!
