each year we clean around the house (a bit like spring cleaning e.t.c) i would like to know how to clean a carpet without having to get a carpet cleaner company in or a rug doctor. i began to scrub the carpet with water but it became damp n a smell occurd. what other ways can i clean the carpet?

there is this foamy carpet cleaner thing that you can spray on the carpet stains and then get a realy thick brush that seems like it has plasticky bristles and just scrub…. it’s tiring and your arms start to hurt but it works.

I don’t remember which cleaner I’ve used, but it was in a blue can and worked great! And, it has a pleasant fresh scent to it that stays on a while after you’re done cleaning the carpet.
